Digital Painting Practice

So hubby bought me a book with tutorials from my favourite digital artist, Lois van Baarle. It encouraged me to pick up digital painting again in Photoshop. Hopefully I'll continue to improve. This is a girl with a feathered earring/broach accessory. I tried out some really bold vibrant colours, I tend to shy away from them most of the time. I think it turned out alright, I'm proud of it =)

She inspired me to try painting again. Picked up a few supplies and tried my hand at one of her teacher`s misty forest type paintings.



Not bad for a first try. I need to do some reading up on painting techniques, it`s been a few years since I`ve painted anything. I need some better tree reference as well.
